its just like playing with Barbies

Stardoll is a wondrous place where children and imaginative adults go to dress up their fav celebrities, models, actors, singers, fairies and historical people like cleopatra. you can even make up a doll that you create to look exactly like you and then dress them, go shopping at stores like DKNY, do make up, etc. most are american dolls but i did spy arab stars like nancy ajram and elissa on there too.

i thought i would share some of the ones i dressed up hijabi-like....

somali model waris dirie...

the closest i could get to making an abaya outfit on shilpa shetty (using sari & cardigans)...

gabrielle anwar in her get-up from that musketeer/man in the iron mask movie...

some algerian-born singer, who came with hijab but refuses to wear it properly...

i hijabified lady gaga as much as i could (you can thank me later)...

bohemian/hippy/gypsy soul frida kahlo...

all the 'star dolls' come with their own set wardrobe to play around with, hence why i have had to stick with tight pants for some of them (it was either skinny jeans or crotch-knickers, so i made my choice). its all a bit of fun, its free and it will take you back to those days when you were six and played with barbies all day.

this is my personal doll and here are some *actual* abaya (surprise surprise) outfits i picked out from the folk store that closely resembles the stuff i like to wear in real life - though i couldnt find any dubai bling-bling abayas...

or do the other thing i did and make up some "im crazy as bat shit to wear this with hijab" outfits like below...

go on and give it a try!
