Cabbage Patch Kids are a doll brand created by Debbie Morehead and Xavier Roberts in 1978. The toy manufacturer Coleco began mass-production in 1982 through 1989. They have been produced by other companies, including Hasbro, Mattel, Toys R Us, and Play Along. In 1994 Mattel purchased the rights to the dolls through the year 2012.
My mother fell in love with them. She had a large collection of them when she died. All but these four went to other family members. The two on the right were her favorites. I like them because of that, not because I think they are cute. ;-)
