copy cat: jennifer garner

as soon as i saw this outfit jennifer garner was wearing my jaw kinda did a little drop. i love the bright pop of silky fuchsia up against the pure whiteness of her 60's style mini. the mix'n'match clutter of pearl necklaces also adds a beautiful shine to co-ordinate this outfit together perfectly (hate the shoes though!).

here is how i would do it up - with much cuter, girlier shoes, a long crochet type skirt, similar silk blouse matched with a loose white cardi and cute matching accessories.

do you like it?

hijabifying eva mendes

doesn't she just look so cute in her striking red, full length leopard print dress standing on a pier in venice? i think it is gorgeous, classy and very stylish. here is how i would hijabify the look..

would you wear eva's dress?

Hijabifying Michelle Obama

i love this woman's natural class and beauty. she always looks so well put together, effortlessly stylish, feminine, modest and always fresh. here is an apricot-peachy hued outfit on her that i love...

instead of trying to recreate the look, i decided to take inspiration from the colours used and create a street style hijabi look that is a little bit glam, but a whole lot casual...

whaddya think?

Hijabifying Tyra Banks

i love the simplicity of Tyra's out fit here - the deep purple spiced up with a thin turquoise belt.

i decided to give it a go and try it out abaya style. i chose an abaya in a similar purple, keeping the thin belt to the inner layer only, so it just pokes out with a bit of colour and doesn't define the waist so much.

Hijabifying the shiny jacket

extra shiny, even sequined and metallic threaded jackets have been seen out and about on random red carpets. here are a few looks for you to gaze at...

my fav are the two silver threaded jackets up the top and the gold sparkly jacket on jessica alba. from hers, i took inspiration and put together a gold jacket hijabi look...

it has a slight rock / punk look that i wouldnt usually wear, but i would still go for it.

what about you?

Hijabifying Kirsten Bell

I saw this pic of her and fell in lust with her outfit. i love the colours, the hotness of the hot pink, the black & turq beads, the black clutch... its just so cute! as soon as i saw it i knew i had to try and hijabify it...

and here is what i came up with -
a hot pink dress, nude cardi, similar necklace and clutch and some cute nude flats...

so what do you think?

Hijabifying Kim Kardashian

I love this sweet, young, hip look Kim K has got going on here. I love most of the stuff she wears, its very sexy and stylish without looking skanky. of course as muslimahs we cant step out exactly the same as her, but we can take inspiration from her style and hijabify it up for a nice muslimah style.
here is a recent pic of Kim in a bright yellow tank-dress and black tailored jacket with round toe heels. i love this look, its very cute...

here is how i would style a muslimah version of the above...

Hijabifying Sienna Miller

i caught this pic and loved it. i think she looks so cute and i love the easy, casual style of this outfit. its not too flashy and looks very comfortable and easy to wear, especially for the coming winter here in Australia. the only things i would change would be the pants, opting for a long fleece skirt in the same hue and of course wrapping her pashmina around her head instead of her neck.

Hijabifying

a new section i am coming up with thanks to the suggestions on some readers. i will take a cute look from the runway or from a celeb that i like and hijabify it as much as i can for you guys. i have done a few times in the past but never really made it a section on its own.

check out previous posts here:

beyonce
haifa wehbe
kim kardashian
jennifer lopez
delta goodrem
katie holmes

so the next installment will be up tomorrow.. i think i have given you enough to look at for today. so check back tomorrow. and you if have a certain outfit on a celeb or the runway that you want me to hijabify for you then just email it to me: hegab-rehab@hotmail.com

hijabifying j-lo

i have always loved JLo. anyone who has known me since my high school days knows that I love JLo. loved her songs and her clothes...
here are some i would primp for hijabiness by adding some more material, length, loosness and of course a hijab:
head scarves:

i love this outift below...

here is my version of JLo's stunning outfit. i used to square shaped bag because i feel that it suits the coat more.

hijabifying miss posh

woooww.. look at those shoes! SHEEEEESH!!!!
talk about ouch.. did it take 5 hours to get those on? they are way too long for me (look like something from someone's fetish), not to mention ugly and missing the heel part of the shoe anatomy. so i am going to obviously tune down the shoe - but still keep it black and leather and pair it with a similar grey frock.

would you wear these?

i also suggest trying to find a much longer version of the dress above - or a similar coloured abaya to get the same look. i would go for the abaya version myself.

lets hijabify delta goodrem..

well it aint that hard to convert aussie darling delta to being hijabified, because she is kinda already there... all we really need to do is add hijab. i love delta's style... she always looks beautiful, stylish and respectable. I have never seen her on tv looking anything less than modest and stylish, down to earth and sweet.

so here is my little spin on it:

lets hijabify katie Holmes

i gotta say i like this outfit... for Hollywood its pretty damn modest... just a few changes needed.. hijab of course, a longer top to cover those tightly wrapped thighs and we have got one pretty funky outfit....

ok.. so this is my spin on it:
Another crazy, colourful print this time in the form of a below-knee-length dress to cover more, similar jeans, cute wedges, black bag and black hijab with a a few accessories:
