one accessory that i love to wear is a necklace. being a hijabi, i dont get to wear my earrings in public. some girls do, but personally its never a look i have tried, although it looks cool (when the ears are covered). so for me the public jewellry comes down to a necklace and some rings. usually i choose chunkier pieces, such as a thick beaded necklace and a big ring. small pieces are great for tiny dainty ladies, but just get lost on me, so the bigger the better.
Here are some of the great necklace/hijabi shots i love that you can take inspiration from...
necklaces in contrasting colours...
long necklaces are good, especially for those girls who wear longer hijabs...
bright colours really make up for wearing a plain outfit and become the centrepiece of your outfit...
...or they can be worn to merely compliment your clothing...
my favourite place to shop (as mentioned before) is Diva in Australia, because they have a HUGE range and are so cheap, meaning you can get a fantastic necklace for $16 (maybe cheaper when on sale) instead of paying $40+ at places like Myers or David Jones.
What shops do you get great cheap pieces from?
