Grey Gardens is coming out soon. Its a movie starring Drew Barrymore, based on the 1970's documentary 'Grey Gardens' about an eccentric mother and daughter living together, the cousins of Jackie O, who were once socialites until their lives led them into poverty and mansion over-run with cats. The daughter, Little Edie, became a fashion icon due to her strange and inventive style, which she composed from old clothes in her attic.
Fashion designers everywhere caught onto her style and it has been done over and over again on runways and magazines and will now resurface due to the movie coming out soon.
And what was Little Edie's most recognisable style piece? The headscarf! She also used to decorate her headscarves by sticking in brooches, different ways to tie it and patterns & colours.
