Shirley Temple was a famous childhood actress and film star during the 1930s. If you have never seen one of her childhood movies I highly recommend that you do. She was a precious little girl and a very good actress. In 1935, Shirley Temple received a special miniature Academy Award Oscar "in grateful recognition of her outstanding contribution to screen entertainment during the year 1934". Six-year-old Shirley was the youngest performer ever to receive this special award.
I'm not sure of this doll's history. She is marked Ideal Toy Company 1972. She is 16 inches and made of vinyl. I'm fairly sure that she is not wearing an original dress. She needs her face cleaned, but I'm not sure what to use. I don't want to remove the finish. She is cute. She was part of my mom's collection.
