RIP Dr. Marwa El Sherbiny - our hijab martyr - شهيدة الحجاب

i havent seen the story at all on aussie news, i caught it on the egyptian tv shows. Dr. Marwa was taking a man in germany to court after he attacked her and called her names, terrorist and so on - trying to take her hijab off in the streets in front of her son in a playground.

Marwa won the court proceedings and the man was so enraged that he pulled out a knife in the court and stabbed her 18 times. she died in front of her husband and small son. she was also pregnant. her husband tried to stop the guy, but the stupid security guards shot him by accident. he now lays in hospital. they have a small son who has now lost his mother.

the footage you see in the clip - the pic of the guy holding a knife up to a screaming woman is actually footage of him killing her. you dont see blood or the knife entering her body, but you can see the look of sheer terror on her face, her hijab and top ripped off as she tries to push him away and the look of rage on his as he holds the knife above her head, ready to swoop down and stab her.

i think you should all take 2 mins to watch the video and read the subtitled story and afterwards make dua to Allah for her, her murdered unborn child, her husband, her small son and the rest of her family that was left behind.

EDIT : a few of you have asked some questions relating to the incident. i dont know all the story but i did watch some footage that was played on egyptian tv. i didnt understand of course due to it being in arabic but my hubby translated bits for me and i did see the security footage. they have no metal detectors at the court so the guy walked in, unchecked, with a knife. thats fail number one.

fail number two - was the security guards. besides shooting the husband who was only trying to rescue his wife, footage captured there shows when a security guard was called in to the attack, he jogged around the corner and then slowed down to a slow pace and WALKED the rest of the way down the hallway to the scene as the attack was happening.
