hijab styling tips!

I am going to start doing a "how to" hijab styling series, considering so many of you ask for it and after all - this is a hijab blog. some are very easy, very simple, while others are more elaborate and difficult. here is the first installment (a very easy, straight forward one that i wear on a daily basis):

1. using a rectangular scarf, place the scarf over your head, leaving the shorter side beginning just at the top of one of your shoulders.
2. gather the two sides of the scarf at the bottom of the back of your neck and pin them together to secure the scarf. you might also want to keep it in place by putting a pin through the the scarf at the top of your head.





3. take the long end, bring it forward and swoop it over your chest and around the other side of your head.
4. continue wrapping it over the top of your head, so it returns to its original side.
5. repeat step 3 by bringing it over your chest again and then pin the end to the side of your head. also place a pin on the other side of your head to secure the scarf in place. when i do this i bring the scarf very close to my chin and cover it like in the pic below.
