nancy ajram style galibaya

I like Nancy Ajram (Agram depending on your accent).
I was watching a video clip from one of her old songs Ah W Nos on Youtube and i caught sight of her wearing cute blue coined scarf and a cute Traditional Egyptian white galabiya (except she wears hers pulled up around her thighs while she does her laundry !?!).... You can watch the video here to see what i mean. She looks so cute walking down the road with a basket on her head.

Here is a pic of it - but watch the video above to get the full beauty of it:::

Apparently when this song came out quite a few girls were aching to get their hands on their own personal copy of Nancy's White Galabiya.

One maker of Galabiyas said it was his most asked for item!

Apparently he sold 1000 direct from his shop in Cairo and another 3 million have been sold worldwide!! Hard to believe right?!!?

He says :
"The suppliers have run out of sequins because they have all been used to make Nancy gelabiyas! A lot of girls buy it, go home, put it on, take a picture on their mobile phone and send it to me."

Pretty incredible, right? Except i dont think i would be sending my pic to a random shop owner.
Apparently you can walk into shops and read "Buy Nancy's galabiya here". Since i dont have the luxury of walking right into any of those shops here in Australia, i decided to look online.

I found online a German website that sells it (and sells it in different colours such as red, pink and blue, etc).

Here is the Original White Nancy style:
Pale Pink Style::

I love the black version though. its really stunning and i think the sequins stand out more:::

i know it could look a bit bellydancer-ish but i still love it! I want a black one! Its so stylin'.

One of my girls in Egypt, Fatma, said she only really wears hers at home. She said she has a Nancy Galabiya (as they are known as) but hers is in red and silver, so i asked her if she would wear it outside - she said she doesnt but some do so its absolutely fine to.. i so would.. i can imagine myself in it now...

So do you love it???
