Her name is Anna - who carries Russian and Caboverdian blood. Anna joined Islam on the first of January, 2008 - so her first year anniversary is nearly upon her! Mabrouk and welcome!
She needs our dua as she has faced and still is facing some trouble with her family accepting her choices, especially hijab, but Alhamdulilah they are slowly accepting it. Because of this she has tried covering up bit by bit to get her family used to it slowly. I think she is doing great considering the difficulties she faces. I have been through similar stuff to this so i know what it is like to want to cover properly but have to do it step-by-step and make my way slowly to proper hijab.
I think Anna looks very beautiful in the proper hijab styles down the bottom and insha'Allah she finds the strength inside to keep with her faith and beliefs. I also make dua that her family becomes 100% of her choices and her Islamic dress.
Anna, most converts face the same thing (i did too) and at first it is a big struggle, as time goes on it gets easier but you will always face some kind of negativeness from family and friends.
Keep struggling and it will get easier.
