Little Miss Fae over at Just Fae reported on how today is her first day of abaya wearing.i loved her pic and just wanted to show everyone it (hope she doesnt mind).
I know a lot of girls feels like they cant and wont wear abaya because in their mind it is unfashionable and for older ladies. They have this weird notion that abayas are not for younger women and if they wear it they will look an old maid and dowdy.
I think Fae's real-life style just proves that abaya is very hip, very stylish and very good looking on young women... and that it doesnt have to be worn in one certain way. You can add layers to create a different look if you are still unsure about looking like you are wearing full abaya.
I would suggest layering a cardigan or nice jacket over it just as Fae did.. or investing in a cute vest...

that way you can break up the total abaya look.. and its a smart way to 'break' into abaya, so to speak.
