i am a judge...

...you are a judge
we all are judges...
although we are not THE judge and are not supposed to judge - we all end up doing it. (still no excuse)

try as we might, we all do it - if you claim you have never judged someone you are a complete liar. Yes, some people try their hardest not to judge, Masha'Allah, but it is not something anyone has 100% refrained from doing their entire life.

I was making fun of a hairstyle i thought to be stupid in my opinion... it was about the hairstyle only - not the hijab - not the girls - not the culture, etc, etc, etc.

Many people agreed with me that it was a stupid hairstyle and laughed along. Others, although they found it funny too, thought i shouldnt post about it because they classed it as judging. Well it is a blog - a whole series of posts based on my opinions... so if someone thinks i judge 24/7 on here constantly and they dont like it - may i remind them that i nor anyone else is forcing you to come here - day after day?

Someone else (not a registered user) remarked about "how would you like it if someone judged you.. blah blah blah"

Ok, so how would i like it?

To tell you the truth.. if someone wanted to make fun of the way i dress or my personal style... then let them.. honestly i couldnt give a crap, because i believe i dress islamically and that is the main point to me. not everyone shares the same personal style - because it is indeed personal.

One person may like my style - another person may hate it - another may laugh at me because of it.

In the end i do not pay attention. i love the way i dress, i love my clothes and i love my style. if someone else wants to make fun of it then good luck to them. i dont dress for them. i cover myself for God, but i style myself for me. Not anyone else. and that is something we all should remember.

Some friends ask me "why you wear sooo much black? you should wear lots of different colours. too much black looks bad". how did i reply? by the simple answer "because I like it". Then she asked "but dont you get sick of black? black can scare people off.. its not a friendly colour".. i replied "i dont care. i love it. its my husbands favourite colour.. he loves me in black.. i love me in black... why should i care what other people think?".

other people have asked me to stop wearing my abayas.. saying its more in style to wear jeans and short dresses or to loosen my hijab up a bit...

"Why do you wear only abaya? why do you always carry big bags? why do you wear so much black? why do you wear your hijab like that? why do you wear those shoes? why? why? why?"

"BECAUSE I LIKE IT"
